Scouts take things to a new level with a new range of challenges for the members.
Open to boys and girls between the ages of 10 1/2 and 14, Scouts meets on a Tuesday between 4-5.30pm.
Activities and what you’ll get up to
Build and develop your confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills. Explore you beliefs and attitudes and be creative. Gain independence and put these skills into practice at camps and even on international trips.
Scout Awards
Whether you started in Cubs or not, you can still progress up to achieve the highest award in the Scout section: The Chief Scout’s Gold Award. This runs in parallel with the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award and there are useful crossovers.
There are lots of Activity badges too that will focus on your interests.
Scout Promise
As a values based movement we all make the ‘The Promise’ – an oath that helps us to be our best
Uniform
Scouting is an uniformed organisation. In Scouts, we ask that you wear the uniform green shirt so that badges can be sewn on as they are awarded. We have a local Scout shop where you can try on uniform or you can order online. Further details are HERE.
Our Scarf is made up of light blue and dark blue sections. This will be presented at investiture.
