Cubs

The core ages of cubs are 8 to 10½ years of age – a perfect age for finding out more about themselves and their skills – challenging themselves to explore the world.

Cubs try lots of activities to gain their Challenge badges: they develop leadership skills; try new outdoor activities; find new hobbies and undertake a personal challenge to help them develop themselves. The pinnacle of achievement is to reach the Chief Scout’s Silver award – the highest award a Cub can get.

Along the way, there are lots of games to play and laughs to be had as the Cubs try their hand at new things. They can gain activity badges to reflect their own interest and to help them find new hobbies.

We work with the Cubs to develop practical skills that will support them in the world but also softer skills such as empathy, resilience and leadership.

The Cubs meet on Tuesday between 4pm -5.30pm in PAC1

Moving up to Scouts

When you are old enough, the adventure continues in Scouts. The 8th Reigate has a Scout troop at the school.

Uniform

Scouting is n uniformed organisation. In Cubs, we ask that you wear the uniform green jumper so that badges can be sewn on as they are awarded. We have a local Scout shop where you can try on uniform or you can order online. Further details are HERE.

Our Scarf is made up of light blue and dark blue sections. This will be presented at investiture.
